SOLEDAD GALLI, PhD
Lead Data Scientist and Instructor
Soledad Galli is a Lead Data Scientist with 10+ years of experience in world class academic institutions and renowned organisations. Sole researched, developed and put into production machine learning models for Insurance Claims, Credit Risk Assessment and Fraud Prevention. Sole has an MSc in Biology, a PhD in Biochemistry and authored many scientific publications in Cancer Research and Neuroscience. Sole also taught Biochemistry classes at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, for 4+ years.
Sole likes mentoring students and data scientists. She created Machine Learning courses which are available on Udemy and have enrolled thousands students worldwide. She regularly speaks in data science meetings and shares knowledge on machine learning through blogs and articles for the Data Science Community. She has recently created an open source Python package for feature engineering. Through Train in Data, she hopes to help more data scientist and non-profit organisations step into and excel in Data Science.
Sole is also passionate about using her skills for social good. Therefore, she engages with non-for profit organisations and individuals and supports them through the use of machine learning and scientific innovation in their efforts to deliver socially committed projects.

CHRIS SAMIULLAH
Lead AI Software Engineer and Instructor
Chris is a Lead Machine Learning Software Engineer at Babylon Health. He’s been writing code for eight years, and for the past three years, his work has focused on scaling machine learning applications. He has undertaken various roles in Health-tech, Fintech and consulting. Chris enjoys sharing ideas, and to that end he ran the Beijing Python meetup for two years, he regularly mentors junior developers, and continues to write software development tutorials and guides.
Chris is passionate about teaching in a way that minimizes the time to reach those "ah hah" moments, trying to reduce the time students spent searching online for concepts and code lines. Chris thinks that complexity is necessary for machine learning application in the real world, but too much complexity is overwhelming and counter-productive. He is therefore committed to help people find the right balance.
